Over the years we’ve supplied our advanced fire-rated glazing systems to many healthcare facilities.
In the UK, we recently supplied to Guy’s Hospital.
Internationally, a recent contract was for a hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
We’ve also worked on primary healthcare facilities in Hong Kong.
Most recently we’ve been contracted to supply systems to Bronglais Hospital in Wales.
Last year we were appointed to supply our advanced fire-rated glazing systems to a £7.5 million state-of-the-art care home being built by Deeley Construction.
We’ll very shortly be installing fire-rated screens and doors at the Woodside Care Village, an inspirational new care home in Warwick.
The new home is being built for Warwickshire-based charity WCS Care, and has been designed by local architects Robothams.
Fire safety in healthcare facilities is something we particularly understand. It’s something that is of absolute importance in a building where people might find it hard to self-evacuate.
While fire suppression is important, so too is containment, making sure that fire remains in one discrete area.
Our systems have been installed worldwide, helping to keep hospital patients and the elderly safe.
They are designed and tested to guarantee complete protection against fire, heat and toxic gases for up to 120 minutes.
That’s more than enough time to evacuate those unable to self-rescue, and for the fire services to deal with the fire.
We’ll be starting on-site at the Woodside Care Village towards the end of this month and will provide news updates of how the project progresses.
